8th Grade Graduates Congratulations to our 8th grade graduates, Julie Nielsen and Camden Fager! God’s blessings to you as you continue on in your education and in your walk with Jesus.
Preschool Graduation / School Picnic Wednesday, May 26th, is our Zion Preschool Graduation on the outdoor stage at 10:45 a.m. The K-8 students will be attending this event. Our school parents and families are invited to attend as well.
Following
the preschool graduation, we will be having our Zion School Picnic from
11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The picnic hotdogs, chips, fruit, and drinks will be
provided by the Zion CEA. After lunch we will have outdoor activities for the
school students, weather permitting. School parents and family are also invited
to picnic with us!
Kurt Nielsen Farewell On Sunday, June 6, we will be having a special worship service to recognize the blessing of Mr. Nielsen’s ministry to our church and school. Mr. Nielsen has been a part of our ministry since 2013, serving many roles in our school as teacher, coach, and athletic director. We invite our school family and friends to join us for this special service on Sunday, June 6 at 9 a.m. There will be a luncheon reception following, details to be announced.
8th Grade Graduation / Kindergarten Graduation and Awards Night Thursday, May 27th, is our Zion 8th grade graduation service, followed by an outdoor awards night with light refreshments. The students of grades K-8 will be singing for the graduation service and will be expected to attend. The graduation service is at 6:30 p.m. Following 8th grade graduation in the church we will hold an outdoor Kindergarten mini-graduation and school awards presentations on the outdoor stage, with light refreshments provided. Families are asked to bring camp chairs if they are able, which will allow us to limit the number of folding chairs we need to bring out.
Friday EARLY DISMISSAL Friday, May 28th is our last day of the school year. We will have chapel, then classroom clean-up. Students will be dismissed at 10:00 a.m.
We thank
God for the blessing of a productive and safe school year, and ask that he keep
our school family safe as we enjoy our summer break.
Friday Chapel Service School families are invited to join us for our final end-of-year chapel service this week FRIDAY, May 28th at 8:05 a.m. Parents, family and friends are welcome! Parents attending chapel are asked to park in the circle drive (Cole Road entrance) and enter through door “D”.
This week will be our last mission
offering collections for WELS Christian Aid and Relief, an organization of our
church body which helps meet the physical and spiritual needs of those
suffering in natural and man-made disasters. You can find out more about their work at: www.wels.net/serving-others/christian-aid-relief/ Thank you for your
generosity and sharing God’s love through your chapel offerings!
Our school yearbooks are in production, and we need pictures! If you have any great pictures to share, please email them to Mr. Schneck at bschneck@zionmonroe.org, or if you have quite a few, check in with him and he will provide a USB drive to pass them on. Among the pictures needed:
- Candid photos of all classes
- Sports pics for volleyball, basketball, soccer, field day, etc.
- Pics of the school musical
- Harvest Trunk or Treat pics
Thank
you!
