Pennies for Patients/ LLS Hero Squad

Continuing until May 24th, Zion Lutheran School is participating in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Pennies for Patients/Hero Squad program, a service-learning program that helps raise critical funds for blood cancer patients, particularly children. Students are asked to bring spare change to school. It can be pennies, nickels, dimes quarters, or more! It can be from home, or they can ask family and friends if they would like to give. Each classroom has a jar to collect their classroom’s donations. The classrooms will be having a friendly competition to see which Hero Squad can raise the most for LLS between now and May 24th. If parents, family and friends would like to donate to our Hero Squads online, they can do so at herosquad.org. Find our school (Zion, Monroe, MI) and register your student. Donations collected here will be included in the classroom totals for that student’s classroom. Friends and family can also donate online by looking up our school. Donations can also be made to the school collection as a whole and not be designated to a student’s classroom if you wish.
