There will be no school classes Monday, February 16, and Tuesday, February 17, as the teachers attend our district’s Pastors’ and Teachers’ Conference. Enjoy your break! Classes will resume on Wednesday, February 18.
Zion Family Roller Skating Party - Monday, February 16
Zion CEA has rented out Dixie Skateland for a family skating party Monday, February 16 from 6-8 p.m. There is no entry fee (CEA has it covered). Bring your own skates or rent them for just $3. Skateland will have concessions available for purchase. Come join us for some family-friendly fun!
Chapel Service
School families are invited to join us for our morning school chapel service this Wednesday, February 18 at 8:05 a.m. Parents, family and friends are always welcome! This year’s chapel offering is supporting our church’s new ministry work in the country of Australia. Please pray for this ministry and the people it serves.
Wednesday is Spelling Bee Day!
Our Zion School Spelling Bee for grades 3-8 is Wednesday, February 18. Parents and friends are welcome to join us for the grade 3-8 bee starting at 1p.m. Kindergarten and Grades 1-2 will be having mini-bees in their classrooms on that day.
Sports - Co-Ed Basketball
C team practices Wednesday, February 18 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Practice this week for A and B teams (grades 5-8), is on Thursday, February 19 from 3 to 4:45 p.m.
This Saturday, February 21, is the Hope Christian Academy B Team Tournament at HCA in Westland. Our first game is at 11:30 a.m. Players should be at HCA by 10:45 a.m. Go Warriors!
After the tournament are the 8th Grade Classic games for 8th graders in our association. Girls will play at 4 p.m. and boys at 5 p.m.

Ash Wednesday Soup Supper - February 18, 5:30-6:45 p.m.
The Zion upper grades are hosting a soup supper in the gymnasium on Wednesday, February 18 before the 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday service at Zion. Enjoy some delicious soup, salad and dessert for a free-will donation to the Grade 7-8 Field Trip Fund.

The Zion Upper Grades “Warrior Oasis” are selling milk and juice options for lunches to students daily. Students in grades K-8 wanting to purchase milk or juice for lunch can do so across from the school library at the start of lunch hour, 11:45 to 11:55 a.m.
Drink items available: Horizon Organic Whole Milk $1.50 or Quik Chocolate Milk $1.25
Orange Juice (bottle) $1.00 Juicy Juice Boxes $0.50 (Apple, Fruit Punch, Grape, Berry)
Purchases are cash only. Profits will go towards the upper grade field trip fund.
Coffee with Friends!
The Warrior Oasis Cafe is open on TUESDAYS AND FRIDAYS in the gym. After dropping off the kiddos, come enjoy a great cup of coffee or hot tea with fellow parents and friends before heading out for the day, or grab a cup to go. Coffee is served starting at 7:45 a.m. Cost is a free-will donation to the 7th-8th Field Trip Fund.
