Letter from Zion School Board - 2021-2022 Enrollment and Tuition Information

Dear Zion Lutheran School Families,

As we finish our third quarter and move into the completion of our school year, it is time for us to begin planning for the next school year. We are very thankful for your continued support of our school program, and look forward to the opportunity to continue the privilege of serving your family in the new school year.

This week you should receive an email from TADS inviting you to re-enroll for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. We plan to have our open enrollment application available this week for students new to our program as well. We also plan to have the application process for tuition assistance available via TADS open soon, and will provide details for those who wish to apply. The tuition assistance application process should also be open towards the end of March and will be available through May 1 for returning school families.

We are pleased to announce that, after a December decision by the congregation of Zion Lutheran Church, our school tuition rates will remain the same with no increase for the 2021-22 school year. It is our sincere mission to make Christian education affordable for anyone who wishes to make use of our school program and we sincerely appreciate that the members of our Church share those sentiments.

We do plan to continue the current cleaning protocols that are in place, which include the use of a professional service in lieu of school families sharing in cleaning duties. We are very satisfied with the work of the current cleaning service and feel it is in the school's best interest to continue with nightly professional cleaning. Because of this, the cleaning fee for the upcoming school will see an increase to $250 per student ($27.75 monthly) or $450 per family ($50 monthly) for families with two or more students in grades K-8. We feel that the total tuition and fees rate remains competitive with other parochial schools in our area while helping us to close our budgetary gap, as the congregation does cover a portion of every student’s educational cost.

One additional item:  we will be holding a Zion School Open House on Tuesday, March 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for those in our community who are looking for educational options for their children and who may be interested in our school to get information on our school, visit our classrooms, and meet our staff. We ask that you share our information with any friends and family that might be interested in what we have to offer. Watch for more information and invitations to share in the coming days.

Zion Lutheran School Tuition Schedule – 2021-2022 School Year

Preschool    3 and 4-year-old                

Registration Fee          $40

Tuition                         $200 monthly              ($1800/year)               

Preschool is a three or four-day program, Monday-Wednesday or Monday-Thursday. There are no Friday sessions.

The same rate applies for three or four-day program.

Kindergarten is a three full-day program, Tuesday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

(*If family has only a Kindergarten student enrolled. If family enrollment includes a student or students in grades 1-8, then grades 1-8 registration fee and tuition plan for family applies.)

Each school family in grades K-8 is asked to pay a facility cleaning fee of $250 per student or $450 per family per year (Charged monthly at $27.75 per student or $50 per family.)

Application for Zion Tuition Assistance

Only families with students in grades K through 8 may apply for tuition assistance from the Zion. There is no tuition assistance available for preschool.

Applications will be accepted through TADS March 22-May 1. Tuition assistance grants for returning students will be determined and approved by May 22, 2021 and eligible families notified soon after.
