“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” -1 John 4:10
Do you plan to receive any love letters soon?
Those are usually reserved for celebrations like Valentines Day. But coming up
starting next Sunday is the celebration of Holy Week, where we remember Jesus’
suffering, death, and resurrection on Easter Sunday, where a surprising number
of “love letters” come to us from our loving Lord.
So will you receive any love letters?
If you will recount God’s love in sending his
only Son, identified as King and Savior on Palm Sunday, willingly entering Jerusalem
to the cheering crowds crying “Hosannah!” “Save us now!’, yet knowing that
those crowds would by Friday be calling for his crucifixion, and still willing
to do what was necessary to save us from our sin, then yes, you will.
If you
will recount God’s love for you on Maundy Thursday as you remember the words of
Jesus, “This is my body…this is my blood…given and shed for you for the
forgiveness of your sins”, you will.
If you will listen once more to the story of
Christ’s innocent suffering and sacrifice on the cross on Good Friday, you
will.
If you will re-live through the eyes of Jesus’
followers the joy of Easter Sunday and the wonder and excitement of a risen
Savior, you will.
If you will take time with fellow believers to
worship the One who “became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness
of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21), you will.
The Easter story of Jesus’ suffering, death,
and resurrection is a love letter to each of us from God himself.
So what will you do with your love letter? Will
you read it with your family? Will you marvel at God’s wondrous love for you?
And then what?
Will you stick it in a box with the Easter
decorations, not to be seen until next year?
Will you accidentally throw it out with the
candy wrappers and plastic grass?
Or will you and your family carry it with you
every day throughout the year, reading it again and again,
May God help us to keep his love letter, the Gospel message found in his Word, the Bible, in our hearts and minds, not just at Easter, but always.

Letters were sent home last week with 2021-22 enrollment information. In order to aid in our planning, we ask that all families planning to enroll for the fall begin their registration process. School families should have received an email invitation from TADS last week to register for the new school year.If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Schneck.
We are also planning an
open house for potential new student families on Tuesday, March 30th from
5:30 to 7 p.m. If you know of any family or friends who may be interested in
our school program, please share our information with them, or invite them to
visit our website. If they are willing, you can also give their contact
information to Mr. Schneck and we will reach out to them. If possible please share the
invitation attached to this newsletter. Extras copies are available on the
ministry table by the pastor’s offices.
Chapel Service
School families are invited to join us for our special afternoon school chapel service this week Wednesday, March 24th at 2:30 p.m. Parents, family and friends are welcome! Parents attending chapel are asked to park in the circle drive (Cole Road entrance) and enter through door “D”.

Friday and Saturday, April 23rd and 24th, the students will be presenting their spring musical It’s Cool in the Furnace, a musical take on the Biblical story of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The students are currently putting the program together. We will need help in the coming weeks with costumes, props, and sets. Please see Mr. Schneck if you are interested in helping us out.
